How human errors and mistakes can play into attackers’ hands
How human errors and mistakes can play into attackers’ hands
With the increased use of digital solutions to make processes more efficient, the potential number of security issues increases as well. As security vulnerabilities and especially the successful exploitation puts companies at risk, testing software for such vulnerabilities is extremely important. So, two important questions are:
- how can we test and find security issues?
- and maybe even more important, how can we prevent them?
In this presentation, you will learn to look at software testing through attackers’ eyes so that after the presentation, you:
- are familiar with the steps attackers take to find security vulnerabilities
- understand different types of security tests
- know which human errors and mistakes cause what kind of vulnerabilities
- have learned how to come up with test cases
- have a brief checklist to prevent errors and mistakes during software implementation in the future
